DESCRIPTION:Treasurer Needed for\n2025-2026\nWe wish to advise that there is now a vacancy for the position of Treasurerfor the 2025–2026 term\, following the very recent withdrawal of Nicolette Palinich’s nomination. \nWe extend our sincere thanks to Nicolette for her six years of dedicated service on the Management Committee\, most notably in her role as Treasurer\, where her contributions have greatly enhanced the effectiveness and value of this position.  We wish her every best wish for her future endeavours. \nA nomination from the floor will be sought at the upcoming Annual General Meeting to appoint a new Treasurer for the term ahead. \nTreasurer Job description from the current Dalmatinsko Kulturno Drustvo Rules book: \n16. TREASURER’S DUTIES\nThe Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer shall collect and account for all subscriptions and other monies payable to the Society\, promptly bank the same to the credit of the Society’s banking account(s)\, disburse the monies of the Society under authority of the Management Committee and keep proper accounts of financial affairs of the Society; He shall submit all accounts payable by the Society for approval by the Management Committee before payment and report to each meeting of the state of the Society’s finances; he will keep a register of members in accordance with\, and furnish to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies the Annual Statement required by the Act\, and shall immediately after the close of each financial years prepare and submit accounts to be compiled and reviewed by an independent person who is suitably experienced and qualified to do so and present the same to the Annual General Meeting. \nA Member of the Management Committee has indicated an interest in the Treasurer’s position.  That being accepted\, there will then be an opening for someone to be nominated from the floor into this position.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExpressions of Interest\nOverseers Needed for 2025-2026 \nOne of our current Overseers\, Zel Seputich has decided to step down after many years of dedicated service. He was ably assisted by Helen Marinovich. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them for the amazing job they have done for the Society and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. \nWe are now calling for a member to take on this important task along with John Garelja and Tanja Schipper Nola who have indicated that they wish to continue in this role for 2025-2026 in accordance with the following rule: \n24. FINANCIAL OVERSEERS\nAt the first Annual Meeting\, the Society shall elect three (3) financial members who shall not be members of the Management Committee. Their duties shall be to inspect and examine the Society’s financial transactions. They are required to submit a report on their findings to the Society at the next Annual General Meeting\, and if requested\, at any other meeting of the Society or Management Committee. \nIf you are interested in stepping forward to help our Society in this crucial role\, please let us know!
