DESCRIPTION:DKD Open Day — Sunday 20 September \nOnce a year\, we throw open our doors and invite the whole community in. This year’s Open Day is on Sunday 20 September at the clubrooms\, 10 New North Road\, Eden Terrace. \n\nDownstairs\, our museum and archive trace the story of Dalmatian settlement in New Zealand — well worth a browse whether you’re a member\, a descendant\, or simply curious. Upstairs\, there’ll be a kolo workshop at 1pm — a chance for everyone\, young and old\, to try their hand at traditional Croatian dancing — followed by a folklore concert at 2pm. \n\nWe’ll be serving traditional Dalmatian food for both lunch and dinner\, and our stall will have Croatian delicacies for you to take home. \nEntry is by donation; food and stall items are sold separately. Today\, Anita proudly continues the family legacy\, leading the iconic Vinka Design bridal boutique in Queen Street\, Auckland. \nAs a special highlight\, Anita’s presentation will conclude with an exclusive fashion parade showcasing this season’s stunning bridal collection. \nWe also invite anyone who owns a Vinka dress to be part of our own special Vinka Lucas Fashion Parade on the day.
