DESCRIPTION:First 2022 meeting \nSunday 6 March\, 2pm in the Ballroom\, Villa Dalmacija. \nDocumentary Film \nWHISPERS OF GOLD \nThe story of the Waiuta Mine and town on the West Coast. \nThis DVD has been donated to the Archive by Mara Burich of Greymouth. It was filmed in 2020 and contains interviews with people who lived in Waiuta township or worked at the mine. \nSome of them were Dalmatians e.g. the Begovich family\, Frank Srhoj\, Joe Baran. \nSome of you may have had grandparents who began their immigrant lives down on the West Coast of New Zealand\, either Coal Mining or Gold Mining. \nMy Vaccine Passes\, Masks\, and Social Distancing \n
